Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson said his GTA 6 playthrough, covering the full campaign plus some optional content, took about 80 hours. That makes GTA 6 one of Rockstar’s longest games. A story-only run will likely be shorter, and 100% completion much longer.
| Game | Main story (approx.) | Story + extras |
|---|---|---|
| GTA 5 | ~30 hours | ~45–50 hours |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | ~50 hours | ~80+ hours |
| GTA 6 | Not measured yet | ~80 hours (Rob Nelson’s own run) |
GTA 5 and RDR2 figures are typical player averages; GTA 6’s figure is one developer’s personal pace.
No official story-only figure yet. The one confirmed data point is Rob Nelson’s roughly 80-hour playthrough including some optional content.
Very likely. GTA 5’s main story averages about 30 hours.
