You don’t have to decide now. Rockstar confirmed you can upgrade from Standard to Ultimate at any time, even after launch, for the $20 difference. For most players, the smart move is to buy Standard, play for a few days, and upgrade only if you want the extra gear.
Every copy bought before November 20, 2026 — pre-ordered or bought in launch week — includes the Vintage Vice City Pack: retro ’80s outfits for Jason and Lucia, a 1955 Vapid Stanier and tropical-pattern weapon skins. After that date the bonus is no longer included. Digital pre-orders also get one month of GTA+.
Physical copies are a code in a box, with no disc. You still download the full game. More on the physical edition.
